Project Objective:

- Create an interactive map of waste management infrastructures, facilities and initiatives to share experiences in the MENA region.

Project Overview:

In order to assist all waste management stakeholders and professionals in the MENA region to share experiences and best practices. ZW MENA Atlas is an interactive map showing the location of all waste management infrastructures in the MENA region as well as other detailed information about the type and quantity of waste processed in each facility. Moreover, the interactive map will highlight the most innovative projects and practices reducing waste in the MENA region

ZW MENA Atlas aims at providing an online platform to track the development of solid waste management sector in the MENA region. Representatives from each country will have access to update the database periodically. Archive data will be freely available online for public audience showing the progress of each country in terms of waste minimization and recycling.
